About Middleton Agriventures
Built by an agritourism owner, for agritourism owners.
Middleton Agriventures was built by people who live and work in agriculture and agritourism every day. It’s not a consulting brand created from theory or corporate models. It’s rooted in decades of hands-on farming, real agritourism ownership, and proven operational growth.
Consulting is led by Keith Middleton, with support from his family team: Laura, Trevor, and Cody Middleton. Together, we combine deep agricultural experience, agritourism operations, food service management, modern farm technology, and creative design to help farms run smoother, scale smarter, and grow more profitably.
Keith began his agritourism journey in 2013 when he started and operated his first agritourism farm. That operation was later transitioned to family ownership. In 2022, Keith and Laura purchased a second agritourism farm and have since doubled attendance and tripled revenue in just three years. Every system we recommend has been built, tested, and refined through real-world operations during busy weekends and peak seasons.
Middleton Agriventures exists because agritourism farms are different. They must operate like farms, entertainment venues, and hospitality businesses all at once. We help build systems that support all three.
Our Team
Keith Middleton
Keith leads consulting and brings decades of experience in agriculture and agritourism operations. He has managed every part of a working agritourism farm, including:
-
Guest flow and attraction layout
-
Parking and traffic systems
-
Ticketing and POS operations
-
Food service and kitchen efficiency
-
Staffing, training, and SOPs
-
Farm infrastructure, irrigation, and equipment systems
-
Technology including WiFi, cameras, and automation
Keith provides the operational backbone that all consulting is built on.
Laura Middleton
Laura brings deep experience in both agriculture and agritourism business operations. She started a produce stand in 2009 and grew it into a wholesale business supplying Costco Wholesale, local grocery stores, and restaurants such as Anthony's located in the Pacific Northwest.
In 2013, Laura and Keith launched their first agritourism business. In 2022, they purchased their second agritourism operation and have since doubled attendance and tripled revenue. Laura understands how to build and manage both the farming and business sides of agritourism, including:
-
Retail and guest experience
-
Produce sales and wholesale systems
-
Business operations and growth strategy
-
Staff management and workflow
Trevor Middleton
Trevor brings design, technology, and visual branding expertise to the team. He helps agritourism farms present themselves professionally while improving operational clarity.
Trevor specializes in:
-
Digital menu boards
-
Website and graphic design
-
Signage and wayfinding systems
-
Photography and branding
-
Visual systems that improve guest experience
Cody Middleton
Cody brings hands-on experience in managing food operations, one of the most complex and critical parts of agritourism.
Cody specializes in:
-
Kitchen layout and workflow design
-
Food prep and service efficiency
-
Staff training systems
-
Throughput and speed-of-service improvements
-
Reducing mistakes and operational bottlenecks
More Than Consulting
In addition to consulting, Middleton Agriventures designs and builds agritourism attractions, including the Grain Train; a custom, tractor-pulled ride system created specifically for agritourism farms.
The Grain Train is not just a people mover. It can also be a full attraction. An example of such use is carrying guests through interactive experiences such as the Silly Skeleton Trail at Kackleberry Farms, featuring custom audio, themed scenes, and animatronic elements that transform transportation into entertainment. It increases capacity while adding measurable value to the guest experience.
Because we operate agritourism farms ourselves, we design attractions that solve real operational problems: long lines, limited throughput, and underutilized space.
Built on Real Agricultural Experience
Alongside agritourism, Keith brings over 25 years of experience in:
-
Production agriculture
-
Specialty crops
-
Irrigation systems
-
Equipment design
-
Electrical systems
-
Fabrication and infrastructure planning
That background allows Middleton Agriventures to support farms that balance real crop production with high-volume guest experiences.
Our Mission
To help agritourism farms run smoother, grow stronger, and build systems that scale without sacrificing the guest experience.
Not corporate.
Not theoretical.
Built by farmers.
Proven by operators.
